農業生産共同組合（※1）は集団農場化の度合いとその結果分配された集団収益に照らして3つのタイプに分類された。

すなわち、使用可能などんな牧草地と森林においてでの集団農耕、「長期計画」と呼ばれたものをベースとした畜産、そして農業および林業用途のあらゆる分野で、機械、用具、家畜を一つにまとめることである。

農地と一人が所有できる畜牛の数（例えば1家族当たり0.5ヘクタールという風に）には制限があった。

ソビエト人の気持ちは安堵感と悲嘆の両方で表された。

国家テロの減少と西欧列強との関係緩和に対する期待があった。

強制収用の結果として、必然的に個性を失った農村の独自性、習慣と伝統の大規模な破壊が起った以上、集団生産者として働かざるを得なかった。
