という英文があります。

ここで使われているWhile being involvedですが、

まずWhileは接続詞の～する中で

という意味だと思うのですが、その後の

being involvedが良くわかりません。なぜbeingという風にしているのか
英語に詳しい方、詳しく教えていただけないでしょうか？

の2通りがあり、’どちを選ぶのか’は読者の判断に委ねているのが分詞構文となるのかな....

「being＋過去分詞」で受動態になりますね。

このbeingは動名詞。

一般的に日本語では能動態でも、英語にすると受動態になるということは学校の受動態の勉強の時に習った記憶があります。

例えば、I was surprised to hear the news.という文は直訳すると「驚かされた」ですが、日本語では「驚いた」です。述語動詞の種類によって受動態にするかが判断されると思います。

質問文の「While」は、「〜するうちに」でもいいと思います。
