Mikio: I want you to enjoy seeing the lake. There will be a beautiful view of the mountain reflected on the water.
Tim: Sounds interesting. But I’d like to see the big trees, too.
Mikio: OK. Then we take Route C back down.

最後のMikioの発話 we take…の部分の時制はwe’ll take…とならなくてよいのでしょうか？

もしＯＫならば、英語文法の現在時制の用法のうち、どのような項目に該当するのでしょうか？

ある海外の掲示板に質問をしてみましたが今のところ疑問は解決していません。よろしくお願いします。

Tim: … How about the way back down? に続く言葉、又は、隠された言葉を”What route do you recommend to take?”とすれば、

Tim: … How about the way back down? (What route do you recommend to take?)
Mikio: I want you to enjoy seeing the lake. There will be a beautiful view of the mountain reflected on the water. (I recommend you to take Route B)
Tim: Sounds interesting. But I’d like to see the big trees, too. (Route seems to be OK, but Route D is also good to take.)
Mikio: OK. Then we take Route C back down. (We have no alternatives but to take Route C to enjoy both views.)

なら現在形でも良いはず。

この場合は、単なる「plan」でなく「schedule」なので、「直説法現在形」の方が適切ということでしょうね。
(例)「Day 1: Bariloche - El Bolsón – Esquel
Reception in Bariloche, the main touristic center in Patagonia; then we take Route 40 and going around lakes Gutiérrez and Mascardi we arrive to El Bolsón, a small town on the countryside of the fertile Valle Nuevo (“New Valley”). 」（http://www.swoop-patagonia.co.uk/ruta-40-guided- …）

一種の確定した未来なんでしょうね。

The next bus comes at ten thirty. のような場合も
その一環として説明されますが、これは時刻表として現在の事実を表わしているにすぎません。

英語の理解としては確定した未来と言ってもそういうスケジュール的な現在でしかない、
ということになります。

でも、今回は検討する中で「ルートCにしよう」と言っていますので、ちょっと違うように思います。
「じゃあ、その考えなら、ルートCを選ぶことになるわけか」という相手の考えにしたがえば
そうなる、という事実を述べただけ、と無理に解するか。

実際には will とか、shall we とか、how about ～ing を用いる場面だと思います。
そういう誤り、誤植程度と思った方がいいように思います。

案内図を見ながらの会話です。

Tim が「いいね！だけど大きな木が見て見たい」
と言ったので、Mikioが「それでは　このルートＣにしよう」と案内図を指しながら言っている。
「目の前の案内図のrute C」を指して言っているので現在形。未来時制の代用。

言い換えると、If(When) we take Route C,　we will see the big tree.
時や条件を表す副詞節とおなじで、現在形が用いられます。
