分かりにくい文ですね。

「他の国々の20億人に必要最低限の栄養を与えるのに十分なはずの
穀物を、先進諸国の約10億人は家畜と鶏に与えている」ということ
ですから、言い方を変えると、「先進諸国の約10億人のために家畜
と鶏を養うことに穀物が費やされているので、他の国々で20億人が
飢えている」ということになります。

わかりやすく書き直せば、

The approximately one billion people of the developed world
feed their livestock and poultry with a huge mount of grain,
which would otherwise be sufficient in quantity to provide
minimal nutrition to 2 billion people in other countries.

feed enough grain to their livestock and poultry=自分たちの家畜や家禽に十分な穀物を与えている

to provide minimal nutritional requirements to another 2 billion people＝（自分たち以外の）別の20億人に最低限度な必要栄養素を供給する為に

が直訳です。十分な穀物を与えているから20億人が必要な栄養を最低限維持できているのですから、この二つを合わせて、「自分たちの家畜や家禽に、別の20億人に最低限の必要栄養素を供給するのに十分な量の穀物を与えている」と意訳することができます。
