英語の質問です。
①(To tell the truth), the questions were ②(too difficult) ③(for any of us) to answer ④(them).
という文で、①から④のどれか一つが間違っているという問題なのですが答えがわかりません。
分かる人教えてください！

to tell (you) the truth

辞書にもかっこがついていますし、どちらでもいいです。

This book is too difficult for me to read.
＝ This book is so difficult that I can't read it.
これは中学でも習う基本事項です。

so ～ that を使うと read の目的語 it（＝ this book）が登場するけど、
too to ではあってはいけない。
This book is easy to read.
いわゆる tough 構文というもので、this book という文の主語が
read の目的語の関係になるのと同じこと。

しかし、実際には、for ～が不定詞の前にくると、
it はあってもいいのです。

とはいえ、普通にはそれは知られていないので
（一番売れているジーニアスにも載っていますが）
答えを選ぶとしたら④とするしかないでしょう。

正しくはTo tell you the truth
目的語のyouが抜けてます。
