これは倒置というわけではなくて、単に長いのでバランスのために後回しにした例です。

ちなみに文法では、倒置は、疑問文なども含んで助動詞や動詞が主語の前に出ることを言います。強調構文で一部を前に出すことは前置と言って呼び分けています。

面白いことに、動詞 persist を自動詞とする辞書（プログレッシブ英和、ケンブリッジ英々）もあれば、他動詞とする辞書（オックスフォード学習者用英々）もあります。プログレッシブはさすがに日本人の知りたいことをわきまえているんだなと思います。
