この英訳って合っていますでしょうか？


それとdepend onの後やdependency onの後って、必ずtheで始まる単語がくるように思うのですが、
例外もあるのでしょうか？

語順で幾つかの言い回しがあり得ます：

the population density dependence of the outside temperature
the dependence to population density of the outside temperature
the dependence of the outside temperature on population density

dependency よりは dependence が普通かなと思います。

the は dependency には付けますが、density, temperature には付けるかどうかは、しばし考えます；the を付けるか付けないかという一般論に従うことになります。

例えば単語が density だけですと「どの density ？」と聞き手が迷わないためには the を付けます。でも population density と言う場合、どこの地域の人口密度かなどとは「特定」しないで人口密度一般を抽象的に議論する場合がありますので、そういう場合は the を付けないのも十分アリです。今の場合 on の後ろですので、人口密度一般ということで the を付けないでよいと思います。

単語が temperature だけですとやはり「どの温度？」と聞き手が迷わないために普通は the を付けます。でもどの温度と特定しないで温度一般の意味では the を付けないこともありえます。外気温という指定をする意味で outside temperature には the はある方が良い気がします。ただし the がなくても通るように思います。
