As the weather was snowy, we went skiing.

この問題もそうですが、高１レベルの文法問題。

すでに締め切られている、別の質問、受身の問題。

I saw her play the piano.
～ing を使っても正しい英語ですが、書き換えとしては
使役動詞と同様、受身になると to がついて、
She was seen (by me) to play the piano (by me).
by me はどちらでもいいですが、日本人的には文末。
普通はこんな by me はいらないのですが、書き換えを成り立たせるためには必要。

We have never heard of him since.
hear of という群動詞、かつ現在完了の受身
He has never been heard of since.
since に副詞用法はありますが、不自然。

They very often heard him speak ill of others.
これも受身になると to がつくパターン。
He was very often heard to speak ill of others.
often はいわゆる頻度副詞で、一般動詞の前ですが、
very often になると文末が普通です。
でも受身になると、この位置でもいいでしょう。
