・(1)Not～の文と、(2)強調構文での文の書き換えをそれぞれお願いします。

=Not
2I didn't know he was homesick until I talked to him.

・Jim caught a turtle in this pond yesterday.
1“Jim”を強調した文に
2“caught”を強調した文に
3“a turtle”を強調した文に
4“in this pond” を強調した文に
5“yesterday” を強調した文に

= Not until this morning did I learn the truth.
今朝になるまで私はその事実を知りませんでした。
= It was not until this morning that I learned the truth.
今朝になってようやく私はその事実を知りました。

2. I didn't know he was homesick until I talked to him.
= Not until I talked to him, did I know he was homesick.
彼と話すまで、私は、彼がホームシックにかかっていることを知りませんでした。
= It was not until I talked to him that I knew he was homesick.
彼と話してみてようやく私は彼がホームシックにかかっているのを知りました。

3. She didn't start to paint until she was forty.
= Not until forty did she start to paint.
40歳になるまで、彼女は絵を描き始めませんでした。
= It was not until she was forty that she started to paint.
40歳になってようやく、彼女は絵を描き始めました。

・Jim caught a turtle in this pond yesterday.
ジムは、昨日この池で亀を捕まえました。

1.“Jim”を強調した文に
It was Jim that caught a turtle in this pond yesterday.
昨日この池で亀を捕まえたのは、ジムでした。

2.“caught”を強調した文に
Jim did catch a turtle in this pond yesterday.
ジムは、昨日この池で亀を本当に捕まえました。

3.“a turtle”を強調した文に
It was a turtle that Jim caught in this pond yesterday.
ジムが、昨日この池で捕まえたのは、亀でした。

4.“in this pond” を強調した文に
It was in this pond that Jim caught a turtle yesterday.
ジムが、昨日亀を捕まえたのは、この池でした。

5.“yesterday” を強調した文に
It was yesterday that Jim caught a turtle in this pond.
ジムがこの池で亀を捕まえたのは、昨日でした。

この手の書き換えは、慣れれば問題ないと思いますが…
