この日本語訳、いまいちですね。

原文が分からないけれど、米国の支配階級との共通点より、移民キャラバンの人々との共通点の方が、ずっと多い事は、否定できない。
（おそらく欧州のロマ・ジプシー等について言及した上での、この文章なのでしょう）
