Snowbell: So you think you can help me?

cat has got one’s tongue というのは、「（舌を猫に取られた→）黙っている」という意味の慣用句です。
昔、王様に暴言を吐いたりして舌切りの刑に処された人の舌が王様のペットの猫の餌として与えられたことに由来するとか、イギリス海軍で鞭打ち刑に使われたcat o’ nine tails という鞭（それで打たれるとしばらく口がきけないくらい痛かったらしい）に由来するとか、語源については複数の説があるようです。

直前の hush-hush は日本語の「しーっ」に相当する擬音

このことを（他の人に言わないで）内緒にしてくれると思う？
と聞いているわけです。

それに対して、上述の慣用句を踏まえて
