未熟な選手が補うためにより良いものを使ってたら彼らは前の技術に戻るだろうは
if unskilled players use better things to get their skills better.

they will go back to their previous skillsであってますか？？previousよりformerのほうがいいですかね？教えて下さい

　回答になってないかも知れませんが。

　「彼らが前の技術に戻る」が曖昧だから今のままでは意味をなさないのだろうと思います。彼らが以前は未熟ではなかったのか？という疑問が一つ。
　多分「彼らが、他の、未熟でない選手が持っていた前の技術に戻る」と解釈すれば意味がとおる、そうすれば

　By using better equipments even those inexperienced players may improve their playing to the standard once set by skilled players

　でしょうかね、

まず日本語の解釈から考えてみました。

要するに、器機に頼っていたのでは、技術を発達しないだろうという意味ですよね？

If non professional players use the equipment, they won't develop their skills.

If undeveloped players use the equipment, they won't improve their skills.
