if 節の中の　and since の英訳で困っています。

挿入句でわからなくなってるとか?

If this represents a basic need for order in the human mind/ and since the human mind is only part of the universe...

after all は文法的にはsince句の一番後ろにつけるんでしょうが、since以降を読む前に「結局のところ」という意味を伝えたい場合は、挿入句として前に持ってくることが多いです

after allを入れた文の例

If this represents a basic need for in the human mind and since, after all, the human mind is only part of the universe...(原文どおり)

If this represents a basic need for in the human mind and since the human mind is, after all, only part of the universe...(私だったらこの型をとります)

If this represents a basic need for in the human mind and since the human mind is only part of the universe after all...(これが一般的な文)

一番最後のafter allの印象が弱くなってるのがわかると思います

If ～という従属節と，since ～という従属節が and でつながれ，

そのまま，主節へと，という流れです。

もし，このことが人の頭における秩序への基本的な必要性を表すならば，
そして，結局，人間の頭は宇宙の一部にすぎないのであるから，
～（主節部分）
