Few tasks require such a wide range of concentration as we pay attention not only to what we're doing but to what every other driver is doing, not to mention walkers and anything else that might enter our path.

を訳したんですけど、

「歩行者やほかの何かが私たちの道に入ってくるかもしれないのは言うまでもなく、私たちがしていることだけでなく、全ての他の運転手がしていることに広範囲に集中して注意を払う必要はほとんどありません。」
と、気持ち悪い文になります…

そこまで広範囲に集中しなくていいよ。
as we pay attention <not only> to what we're doing <but> to what every other driver is doing,
例えばAとかBとかまでは不要です。
not to mention walkers and anything else that might enter our path.
ですが、このCは言うまでもなく注意が必要です。
