much too...と　too much

1) It's much too far to walk to the station from here.

2) This new cola has too much caffeine to drink.

語順で、much too と too much がよく分かりません。
文法的にどのように説明すればよいのでしょうか？

文法的に正しいものであっても、普段の会話で使わない言葉じゃないのかなあ。

本当に耳にしないですね。


　むしろ会話で使われたら、珍しい表現だから、私覚えちゃうもの。


　でも、大変ですね、そういう問題も出るんでしょうね、きっと。

much too...と　too much

1) It's much too far to walk to the station from here.

2) This new cola has too much caffeine to drink

たとえば　こんな問題があるとします。
She was ( ) to me.
1.much too kind 2.too much kind
3.very much kind 4. very too kind

muchは普通の形容詞や副詞を修飾できません。
代わりにtooを用いて　much too kind=far too kindにします。
一方muchが不可算名詞を修飾しているときは
　「too much ＋不可算名詞」になります。

This studio is much too noisy.
There is too much noise in the studio.

[much too＋形容詞,副詞] [too much＋不可算名詞]

で覚えます。

too far 遠すぎる
much too far あまりに遠すぎる
too が far を、much が too を強めています。

too much caffeine
too あまりにも
much 大量の
much は cafein の量の多さを言います。液体なので many や one, two, three を使わないというだけの違いで、名詞の前に来るという語順は同じです。

1) 2)の語順の入れ替えはできません。

　この much は too far を修飾しています。It's too far walk to ... ということを述べているだけなのですが、それをさらに強調しているわけです。この much は副詞です。

> This new cola has too much caffeine to drink.

　この too は much を修飾しています。much は 「大量の」 という意味の形容詞です。
