英作文の宿題なんですが・・・アドバイスをお願いします。

「どれほど医学が進歩しても，人間を不死身にする事はできない」
という文なんですが,

No matter how much you make progress in medecine,
you will not be able to make people live forever.
　
と書いたのですが，どうですか？
ヒントには，whatever progress you make in medicine～
とあるので・・・
一番の疑問点は，whateverとhoweverの使い方の違いです。これらはまず，「どんなに」などの表現を除いた文を書き，それが完全文だったらhoweverを用いると考えていいのでしょうか？

いかにも日本人らしい英語ですね。

私でしたら
Even the most progressed medicine dosen't make the human being invulnerable.と表現します。

ご質問ではWhateverは名詞節を、Howeverは副詞節を取りますので、However(No matter how) much you make progress in...に対し、Whatever(No matter what)progress you make...は同じ意味になります。

お問い合わせの表現は仮定法的に解釈すれば.Whatever progress you made in medicine, no man could be immortal.　でどうでしょうか？
