「～の後に～をつける」という英語表現について教えて頂きたくお願いします。

1When we speak to somebody or people in Japan, we call them using San after（or at the end of） their family names.
2When we speak to somebody in Japan, we normally add "san" to their family names.
1及び２は「私たちが誰かの名前を呼ぶときは、さんをつけて呼びます」に近い表現になるでしょうか（構文的に大丈夫か）？
また、「finishを過去形にするときはhの後にedをつける」という場合、どのような表現になるのでしょうか？

When we change the verb "finish" to the past tense, we should add "ed" to the end of the present tense.
