アメリカの公共放送に抗議したいが英語が苦手

アメリカの公共放送で垂れ流された間違った日本についての情報を訂正＋抗議したいが英語が苦手

アメリカ在住です。
公共放送サービスNPRの番組radio labの最新の放送（Mortality）の中で
日本では高齢者問題の解決のために長きにわたって生きてる高齢者を山に捨ててきた。と放送されてました。http://www.radiolab.org/2007/jun/14/#commentform　（放送開始後約38分ほどから日本の高齢者遺棄の風習紹介になります）
以下が私が聞き取った内容です。

“There is a very long tradition in Japan of, they call it “obaasute”

“Obasute?”

Obaa means grandma and sute means “to throw away.”

Yes.They have whole movies about this in Japan.

There’s one called, “The Ballad of Narayama.” It’s set in a very poor rural village about 100 years ago. It tells the story of a son taking his old mother up a mountain. On their way up they pass by another son literally throwing his father off of a cliff.

“It makes the family happier.”

“So grandma stays in the Mountain and starves to death.”

“Yea”

“The family is happier because there’s less of a burden”

“Right”

“It was understood among all the generations that this was how the problem was solved”

(1)映画『The Ballad of Narayama（邦題：楢山節考）』は深沢七郎の小説、「楢山節考」を元にした架空のお話であること。
(2)「楢山節考」のベースになってる姨捨山伝説は実は仏教説話の中のお話が元になってるのもであって、日本には仏教と共に輸入されてきたものであること。
(3)姥捨て山のお話は敬老精神を啓蒙するためものでり、決して年寄り遺棄を推奨するものではないこと。
(4)姥捨て行為は史実ではない（伝統的に高齢者遺棄をしていた証拠はどこにもない）こと。
(5)公共放送たるものが事実の確認もせず特定の人種に対して負のイメージを与えるような情報を流すのは信頼できない行為であること。

を抗議文として送りたいのですが、どなたか英語で書いていただけないでしょうか？
悲しいことに私の英作能力では効果的な抗議は到底できません…。
私が一番怒ってることは、『事実確認もせず放送してる』という事です。

1. "The Ballad of Narayama" is based on a fiction of the same title by Shichirou Fukazawa,

2. The Obasute legend at the basis of Fukazawa's fiction is a Buddhistic sermon and was imported to Japan along with Buddhism.

3. The obasute legend is intended to stress the need to respect and value the knowledge of the aged, not to encourage the discarding of the elderly.

4. What is described in the fiction is not based on historical fact (Traditionally, there is no evidence that abandonment of the elderly was actually done in Japan).

5. It is not justifiable that without checking the facts a public broadcasting should air stories that might reflect negatively on an ethnic group.

　　　　僕の経験から申しますとNPRは、こういうことを過去にもやったことがあり、弁護士を通じて訴訟を起こされる恐れがあれば、早い反応を示します。

　　　　しかし、その怖れが無い時は、極めて誠意の感じられない反応をしめすという記憶があります。頑張ってください。

ありがとうごいます。
ヒアリングとスピーキングは問題なく出来るのですが、英作が恐ろしく苦手で自身がなかったので質問させていただきました。本当にありがとうございます。
「ラジオから流れてくる誤った情報など大したことではない」と思われる方も沢山いらっしゃると思います。
ですが、今回の間違いは『日本人は高齢者を山奥に捨てることによって、高齢者にまつわる諸問題を解決してきた大変冷酷な民族である』との誤解を生みかねないので、どうしても意見したかったのです。
残念ながらＮＰＲからはまだ何の返答もありませんが、この質問の締め切りまでに何か返答があった場合には、その内容報告させていただきます。
