decideとdecide onの違いについて

decideとdecide on の違いは何でしょうか？decide on が具体的なもののような気がするのですが違いますかね？例えば、I've already decided the lunch. と I've already decided on spaghetti for lunch.などはどうでしょうか？

「decide」は「決定する」という意味では「自動詞」の役割で目的語を必要とせず、意味としては「決意する」「決定する」「決める」です。

　どうして「何かを」「何かに」「~~~に決定する」とする時は、この自動詞を他動詞にする為「decide on」とします。　「decide on」に使用例は以下の通りです。

　使い分けは質問者および回答者＃１の書かれたとおりだと思います。

I've already decided the lunch.は「lunchをどうするかが問題になっているが、私は既に決心している」というようなちょっと抽象的な感じだと思います。よく使われるのは「判決を下す」といった意味です。
　少し疑問なのはdecide onが他動詞といえるかどうかです。onが副詞であれば他動詞ですが、I decided it on.とは言わないことから、前置詞であることが解ります。動詞＋前置詞は普通自動詞と考えると思いますが、受動態になるならば他動詞と考えていいかもしれません。#1さんの書いた例文のなかで、受動態になりうるものがあればご教授ください。
