get into worlds of books → put themselves into the worlds of books
curiosity against unknown worlds → curiosity _for_ unknown worlds
Children, with their fresh curiosity for unknown worlds and affluent imaginations, can put themselves into the worlds of books.

The memories are so intense that...
Childhood memories of being moved or excited when reading books are so intense that they stay with us throughout our lives. Because children have fresh curiosity and affluent imagination, they can easily go into the unknown worlds of books. This experience can help us as grown-ups deal with various ordeals when it is least expected.

The memories are so intense that they cannot disappear until we die, which come from being impressed and being excited by reading books in our childhood.
・"not ~ until we die"はすばらしい発想ですね。

↓
(例)We remember that we were so moved and excited when we read books in our childhood. It was such an intense experience that it lives in our memories all our lives.
*** "remember that we were ..."は"remember being ..."
*** "all our lives"は、もっと正確な表現として"for the rest of our lives"としてもいいです。
*** "it was such an intense experience that ..."は"The experience was so intense that ..."
Children can get into worlds of books because they have fresh curiosity against unknown worlds and affluent imagination.
・普通後ろから訳す場合は"the (A) of (B)"となります。"the world of books"とすると、本の世界をひとつしかないものと考えます。
・"a world of (B)"や"worlds of (B)"とすると、"a lot of (B)"や"lots of (B)"という意味に対応する場合もあります。"
http://eow.alc.co.jp/search?q=a+world+of
*** ここも、構造としては、1)と同じように"so ~ that"や"such ~ that"や"enough to ~"の形式にもなりますね。
↓
(例)Children are so curious about the unknown world and so imaginative that they are able to live in the world of books.
The experience could empower them unexpectedly when they have grown up and encounter various ordeals.
↓
(例)They could unexpectedly be empowered(/ vitalized) by the experience when they have grown up and encounter various ordeals.
I poked my nose into ..."

(例)Children are so [genuinely] curious about the unknown world ...
