「起きる過程が始まっている脳の中のアラームのリング」でいいんでしょうか？

これも後半がよく分かりません。
since they are found in most one-celled plants and animals　のmost one-celled　が訳しづらいです。
「神経組織や筋組織は動物や植物のもっとも一つから細胞ができいているので」というめちゃくちゃな訳になってしまいます。。

これは全体の訳が分からないんですが、後半のensureのところが特によく分かりません。

「食料やえじきが利用できるときに最大のピークを起こすことを確実にするために動物は～」というのはどうでしょうか？
全訳を知りたいです。。

ring は動詞です。「起床を始めるために脳の中でアラームを鳴らす。」

体内時計は筋肉や神経システムの複雑な動作を必要としない。なぜなら、それらの体内時計はほとんどの単細胞生物と単細胞動物で発見されている。

「何週間にもわったって」
という意味だと思いますが。
でなければわかりません。
