こんにちは。

一応手直ししましたが、手紙の背景があまり分からなかったので、分かる範囲で予測しました（笑）。
ちなみに、これは手紙全文ですか？だとすると、所々、話が飛んだりしていて意味が伝わりにくい箇所があります。あと始まりや終わりの言葉も必要です。

On the New Years day, I went to (場所名) with my family and saw a beautiful sunrise there.

I was surprised to know that Sri Lankan TV broadcasted about the Japanese New Years day.

How was your New Years day?

Attached to this letter is a MD (Mini Disc) containing the performances from my school wind-instrument band. I play trumpet in the band. Could you hear my instrument in the MD? By the way, do you have a MD player? If you don't, I'll send you a CD version next time.
