続きです。今回のは言い回しが分からないのが多くご迷惑おかけいたしております。

と訳してみました。いかがでしょうか。

ダッシュに混乱して訳が分かりません。どこで区切っていいのかと文章の意図することまで把握できませんでした。

このような微生物への要素内在性の宿主への関連性の度合い、そして実際に確率的な度合いはどれほｄのものなのか？
言いたいことは何となくつかめましたが訳の順番などが分かりませんし適切な訳が出来る自信がありません。今回はor の連続に四苦八苦した感じでした。

「一般人がHTMを遠ざけている、共通した大きな理由としては、慢性的な歯周病が、先進国では『普通のこと』と見做す風潮が高まっていることがあった。」

　前文の「健康の定義」と関わる一文ですね。

exclusionの訳が遠ざけているという解釈が解説を頂かないと想像できなかったので本当にしっくりきました。
慢性的な病態からHMPを遠ざけており、それが健康の定義自体をうやむやなものにしているという意味なのですね。
questionsの意味が課題事項という訳もなるほどとびっくりしました。
こういう風に意図に合わせて訳をしてくださったおかげで本当に意味がようやく分かることができます。いつもありがとうございます。

orの言い換えで宿主の割合がどのように生体内に影響を与えているかという実験的手法からの見識がどれほど本質的なものなのかということを最後の文章では問うものなのですね。
