意味が分ることが大事なのでしょうか、それとも訳文を得ることが必要なのでしょうか。

おそらく前者だと思うのですが、浅学な私には、どうしようもありません。
ひたすら直訳したものだけを示しておきます（参考にしていただく程度のもので、正確さに関しては疑問が残ります。また、誤訳の可能性もあります）。
