まず、家を手に入れ、女と農耕用の牛を手に入れる。

ついでに牛を追う奴隷の女も。すべて家にそろえるのだ。そうすれば、他人に頼んで断られ、欠乏のため（何もできず）、時期（収穫期？）が過ぎて努力が台無しになる、ということもない。仕事を明日やあさってに延ばすな。怠け者は納屋を一杯にしない。仕事を先延ばしする者もしかり。勤勉に働けば成果を得るが、先延ばしするものは常に破滅と取っ組み合いをする。

この２点が一番の疑問でした。
　　(2)はeow.alcでよくわかりました。
　　(1)は、外して考えるとよくわかります。
　　　　　ただ、このyou are in lackとは
　　　　　貧乏しているという意味ではなく、
　　　　　「やるべきことを欠いている」（仕事を全部終わっていない）
　　　　　にもかかわらず、季節が変わって、収穫出来ないーこのような意味
　　　　　かなと思いました。
　その他、書き換えた文で、意味はよくわかりました。
＊　&#8212はハイフォンの記号の意味で、変換がうまくいかないのでした。
