the book (which) I bought yesterday「私が昨日買った本」

関係的には I bought the book yesterday が成り立ちます。

しかし、the book という先行詞があって、which 以下が修飾という構造で、

This is the book (which) I bought yesterday.
と、this is the book という骨組みで文を作ることになるので、
I bought the book yesterday としてしまうと、こういう文が作れません。

今回も、the speed という先行詞が、overstate the speed と前の部分とつながっています。

それを勝手に後ろに回すことはできません。

S overstate(s) the speed.
＋ Machines could replace humans WITH it.

2文に分けると、with it ＝ with the speed が生まれます。

A は Handon で、B は
overstating the speed with which machines could replace humans and the accelerated economic growth this would cause
全体で、簡潔には overstating ～という ing 形のかたまり。

これが受身になって、
「ハンソンも、～を誇張して言うと説明される」

as の後に動詞の原形はこないので、ing 形。
動名詞か分詞か微妙で、「～している」と訳さなくてもいいです。
（普通には as は前置詞だから動名詞とするのでしょうが、as ＋補語
なので、形容詞的に分詞とも言えます）

overstate の目的語が
the speed with which machines could replace humans
and
the accelerated economic growth this would cause
という、and でつながれた２つ。

the speed を with which ～が修飾
「機械が人にとって代わるだろう速度」

the accelerated economic growth (which) this would cause
関係代名詞の目的格の省略で、
このことが引き起こすであろう、加速化した経済成長
