「The problems of safety and cost will be serious for the widespread large batteries.」はどうでしょうか？

この問題がすでに見られる高価や発火の問題であるなら、現在形でいいと思います。

The problems of safety and cost are serious for the widespread large batteries.

ただし、さらなる普及には、価格や安全性が将来にわたって重要である、鍵になるという意味であれば、problem を用いるのはなんとなくなじまないように思います。(下記WEBSTER辞書参照）
The safety and cost will be more serious for the widespread large batteries.

普通に通じると思います。

私個人の意見ですが、
「～において、Aは深刻な問題である」とした方がすっきりします。それと何故、will beにしたいのですか？将来のことでなく今であるなら、現在形（are）でいいと思います。
それと、cost → costsにしています。

Safety and costs are the serious problems for the widespread large batteries.

もしくは、「～と言われている」として直接的な断定を避けるなら。

It is said that safety and costs are the serious problems ~
