This is some conversation when someone (A) ask an officer (B) to inspect blueprints of a house in the city hall or somewhere.

B: I need some photo ID. You can have it back when you return the plants(1).
A: A photocoier ?
B: 4th floor, 50 cents per a page. You need to have these back by closing time, today(2).

I am familiar with the first "have" in the sentence (1). It means possession. On the other hand, "have" in the sentence (2) seems to be able to be replaced with bring. This was confusing for me when I listened first time. Is it spoken often, like (2)? Or if I am wrong, correct me!

haveにはhave (目的語) (補語)という文型があり、

keepやmakeと同様「(目的語)を(補語)の状態にする」という意味で使われます。

have these backだと、theseをbackの状態にする、
つまり「これらを返す」という意味になります。

一般的な話をしても、
本当はtakeやbringが動作なのに対して
haveはholdやkeepのように状態を表す動詞ですが、
(つまり、takeやbringした結果haveするわけですが)
会話ではよくtakeやbringを使う場面でhaveを使うことは多いような気がします。
have a lunchとか。

　ジーニアス英和辞典によると，

　have O M で「O を～に動かす，持って行く，連れて行く」，M は場所・方向の副詞（句）とあります。
