耕作の時期が告げられたならすぐに、お前もお前の奴隷も同様に、雨の日も晴れの日も、耕作の季節のうちに急いで耕しなさい、早朝から頑張りなさい。そうすれば、お前の畑は豊かになるだろう。

the timeがproclaimedされたらすぐに、then以下(make haste to plough *** and bestir ***)。

春に耕しなさい、しかし夏に休ませた土地はお前の期待を裏切らないでしょう。

最初の文は命令形じゃないですか？

土壌がまだ柔らかくなっている時に種を蒔きなさい。休閑地は害を防ぎ、子供達を宥めるでしょう。

日本語として、軽いより柔らかいの方が適切かな？と
どっちでも良い気がしますけどね。

質問者は、あまりに、基本的な間違いをしていました。
回答（１）のis proclaimedは受動態、 make hasteは命令形、
回答（２）のPlough in the spring　も命令形
　　でした。
　かなり、はっきり、意味が見えてきました。
　ここでは、春に耕作、夏は休ませ、秋に種をまく
　　　という順序のようです。
　　日本でも、麦は、秋に撒いて、春に芽を出す。
　　　　収穫は稲刈りの前になる。
　　良く似ているなと思いました。
