If it is necessary to construe a Default Rule as modified or negated in order to effectuate any provision of this Agreement, the Default Rule is modified or negated accordingly.
こういう文を読もうと思っているんですが、"as modified"　をどう理解すれば良いか分からないので、分かる人教えてもらえませんか？やはり、as modified は　as a Default Rule is modified　みたいな感じだともおうんですが、どうも長い文だと理解に苦しみます。よろしくおねがいします。

契約には二種類のカテゴリーが存在します。

　ひとつは一端契約すると絶対に変更出来ないもの。　もうひとつは事情により変更可能なもの。　殆どの契約は事情変更の原則が機能しています。　特に私人間の契約は、事情変更の原則により、変更出来るものです、　この考え方に従って、この条文を解釈すると次のようになります。

この契約の条文を有効にするには、どうしても不都合を生ずるので訂正するか無効にしなくてはならないと看做される条文が発生した場合は、そのように訂正され、無効にされるものとする。

（試訳）当該契約の各条項を有効にする為に典型規則は修正されるべきもしくは無効にされるべきと解釈する必要がある場合、その典型規則は修正される、または無効にされるものである。

「Default Rule」という英語は適当な日本語の訳語がありませんのでいちおう「典型規則」と訳しておきました。
