関係代名詞のwhichとwhatの使い分け

関係代名詞のwhichとwhatはどのように使い分ければよいのでしょうか？

例えば、
This is an apple what I bought yesterday.
と
This is an apple which I bought yesterday.
とでは違いがあるのでしょうか。

これは間違えですwhatはちょっと特殊な関係代名詞ですでに先行しを含んでしまっているのです。
what=thing whichこんな感じです。

アルク(英次郎)からの例文です。
【代名-2】 ～するもの［こと］◆関係代名詞
・ Do what I tell you. 私が言うことをしなさい。
・ I know what I am doing [talking about]. 自分がしている［話している］ことは分かっている。
・ Is that what you want? それが君の欲しいものなの？
・ What I received was not what I ordered. 受け取ったものが注文したものと違っていた。

　This is an apple which I bought yesterday. では，which 以下が an apple を修飾し，「これは，私が昨日買ったリンゴです」という意味になります。

　しかし，This is an apple what I bought yesterday. は正しい英文ではありません。

　関係代名詞 what は「もの，こと」という意味を含んだものであり，an apple という先行詞をおくことはありません。

　This is what I bought yeseterday. （＝ This is a thing which I bought yesterday.）であれば，「これは，私が昨日買ったものです」という意味になります。

もしかして、what と that を勘違いしていませんか？

もしそうなら、関係代名詞 whichとthatの違いはありません。

以下の文はすべて同じ意味です。(3番目は関係代名詞を省略した文)
This is an apple that I bought yesterday.
This is an apple which I bought yesterday.
This is an apple I bought yesterday.

ちなみに、what I bought yesterday は名詞扱いなので、
"This is an apple what I bought yesterday." は正しくありません。
