The boss acted immediately on Marty's suggestion.An hour after talking to Toni alone in his office, he called all the employees into the conference room.There on the table was a display of sweets and coffee. He then proceeded to tell each person how much he appreciated what they had accomplished. From then on he made it a point to praise an employee when a job was well done.
"It was a different place after that," Marty told us. "The boss learned a valuable lesson which he's never forgotten. And, by the way, Toni became a vice-president and is still with the company. she's really happy she didn't take another offer."
