期待どおりにいかない

物事は期待通りにいかないことが多いが、多くのことが思い通りになると、反対に面白みがなくなってしまうかもしれない。
You may find things does not always pass as you expect. But, on the other hand, if you can control all the things, it may not be interesting.

とても良いと思います。

敢えて訂正するならば、
「You may find THAT things DO not always pass as you expect. But, on the other hand, if you can control EVERYTHING, LIFE may NO LONGER be interesting.」

言い換え例としては、
「Things do not always turn out as you expect. If they do, life may become lackluster.」
「物事は必ずしも期待通りにいかない。思い通りになれば、それは面白味のない人生になるかもしれない。」

前半だけですが、もうちょっとシンプルに言えると思いますね。

Things don't work out as expected.
Thing s don't go the way you want.
Things don't go your way.

など。他にもあると思います。

日本人はくどく言いすぎる傾向があるので気をつけてください。
