英訳を添削してください。お願いします。
問１　大地震で火災が起こると、道路が通れなくなるので消防車による消火は期待できない。
１の私の英訳　If the fires break out our house due to the big earthquake,we can’t expect fire engines to put out them because we can’t go through the streets.
問２　ガスレンジなどを消した後はすばやく机やテーブルの下に潜って落下物から身を守らなければならない。
２の私の英訳　We must save our bodies from falling things under the table or desk after putting out the gas range and so on.

If the fires break out at/around/on our house(or somewhere) due to a big earthquake, we can't expect fire engines to put out them because they(or we) can’t go through the streets.
か
If the houses are on fire due to a big earthquake, it may even be difficult for fire engines to get there.
など。

ガスレンジなどを消した後はすばやく机やテーブルの下に潜って落下物から身を守らなければならない。
We must protect our bodies/ouselves against/from falling things under the table or desk after putting out the gas range and so on.

Some fires because of a big earthquake will cause the streets (nearby) to be unavailable, so you can't expect the fire engines to put out the fires.

*to put out them は、to put them out にしましょう。
他動詞＋副詞＋名詞＝他動詞＋人称代名詞＋副詞

due to (堅苦しい表現）を使うなら、put out （くだけた表現）は、extinguish のほうがいいかも……。混在してもいいとは思いますが……。
私にも、こういうことは、いつも悩みの種です、

問題文の日本語では、道路を通れなくしている原因があいまいなので、とりあえず、地震が原因の時と、火災が原因の時の 2 versions を作ってみました。

「すばやく」が抜けていますよ。
