≪スピーチ文≫英訳お願いします

イベントで閉会の言葉をサプライズで私が英語でスピーチしようと思っています。


「2ヶ月掛けて必死になって準備したイベントが終わりました。
台風が過ぎ去った後のような妙な静けさが私達に漂っています。
今回のイベントを開催するにあたり、献身的にサポートして下さった方、また迷惑を掛けてしまった方も居ました。
沢山の方のお陰で一通り通すことが出来ました。
ここ福島県でこのようなイベントを私達の手で開催出来たこと。
その結果がどんな小さなチープなイベントでだったとしても、それ自体が大変意味を持っていると思います。
この素敵な時間が次のステップへの糧となるよう、今後も頑張っていきます。

私なりに英訳してみましたが・・
The event ended prepared desperately for two months.
We are drifting into such strange silence after the typhoon passed.
This event to be , dedicated supporter and had bother・・
Able to pass as one, thanks to many people.
In our hands we hold an event like this in Fukushima.
The event was a little cheap the result would have much meaning by itself.
So that the food for the next step of this wonderful time, luck will continue.

堅苦しく文法も無茶苦茶です。
出来るだけ口語的なネイティブのような表現で英訳していただけませんでしょうか？

・The event we had desperately prepared for two months has ended.

We have now a strange feeling of quietness as if a tyhoon had gone. During this event, there were people who had devoted themselves and also people we had troubled, but we managed to get through it successfully. We were able to hold an event like this here in Fukushima ourselves. This is very important, I think, no matter how small and minor it was. I will work hard to make this wonderful experience develop into a further step.
